Contactless menus let diners scan a table QR code to view menus in their smartphone browser. Adopted widely during COVID-19 to avoid shared physical menus, they offer practical benefits beyond hygiene: instant menu updates without reprinting, easy multilingual support via browser language detection, and reduced printing costs.

Challenges include accommodating elderly or less tech-savvy customers (many restaurants keep paper menus available) and ensuring fast page load times. The practical approach is coexistence with paper rather than full replacement.
