Access Analytics
Access analytics is a method of measuring / analyzing the number of users who visit a website, the pages they view, how long they stay, how they arrived, and so on. Google Analytics is a representative tool, and it collects data in real time once a tracking tag is embedded in the site. It is an essential technique for measuring the effect of marketing initiatives and for making decisions about site improvements.
Combining QR codes with access analytics lets you measure the effect of offline advertising digitally. If you add UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) to the URL of a QR code placed on flyers, posters, business cards, product packaging, and the like, you can accurately see in Google Analytics "which medium's QR code brought how many people to the site."
In more advanced operations, dynamic QR codes are used to track the number of scans, the date and time of each scan, and the scan region in real time. For example, if you set different UTM parameters on the QR codes of posters displayed in Tokyo and Osaka, you can compare the response rate by region. QR codes also function as a measurement tool that bridges offline and online marketing data.
