Dynamic QR Code
A dynamic QR code is a mechanism in which the QR code itself stores a short URL, and the redirect destination of that short URL is managed on the server side. Without changing the printed QR code, you can freely change the link destination URL later.
Another major advantage of dynamic QR codes is that you can obtain access analytics data such as the number of scans, scan dates and times, approximate region, and the device used. This data is used to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and to compare response rates by flyer / poster.
However, dynamic QR codes also have points to watch out for. They often require a paid plan from a QR code creation service, which incurs ongoing usage fees. In addition, if the service ends, the redirects stop, and there is a risk that all of the printed QR codes become invalid. For QR codes used over a long period (tombstones, monuments, etc.), a static QR code that directly stores a URL on your own domain is safer.
