QR Code Tracking

QR code tracking uses dynamic QR codes or redirect URLs to collect and analyze scan data. It captures scan counts, timestamps, geographic regions, and device types.

Assigning different QR codes to each placement (flyers, posters, product packaging) enables comparison of which media drives the most access. Adding UTM parameters to URLs enables integration with analytics tools like Google Analytics.

The location shown in scan reports is derived from the IP address seen at redirect time and resolves only to a country or city, not to precise GPS coordinates. A browser will not reveal a user's detailed position unless that user grants location permission, so this tracking does not suit cases that assume store-level accuracy. Treat regional figures as a way to read trends, and base decisions on scan counts and timing per medium.
