Contactless
Contactless technology operates without physical touch. QR codes are inherently contactless - optical camera reading requires no surface contact. Unlike NFC (near-contact at centimeters), QR codes read from tens of centimeters to meters.
COVID-19 drove QR code adoption in digital menus, tickets, visitor management, and medical forms - all replacing shared-surface contact points. Post-pandemic, contactless preferences persist as an irreversible trend.
