White Label
White label is an arrangement in which a product or service developed by one company is sold / offered by another company under its own brand name. It is a concept similar to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), but white label is used mainly in the fields of software and services. The provider's brand does not appear, and the product is offered to customers as the brand of the company using it.
Many QR code generation platforms offer a white-label version. Marketing agencies and printing companies can offer QR code generation / management tools to their clients as services under their own brand. It is possible to change the logo, domain, and color scheme of the dashboard to their own brand and make it look to clients as if it were a tool they developed in-house.
The advantage of white label is that QR code-related services can be added to a company's product lineup without spending on development. There is no need to develop complex features such as a QR code generation engine, dynamic redirects, access analytics, and an API in-house, and the technical foundation of an existing platform can be used.
As points to note when choosing, you should check whether a custom domain can be used (whether your own domain can be used for the redirect URL of the QR code), the scope of branding customization, the upper limit on the number of clients, whether an API is provided, and the pricing structure (a fixed fee + usage-based billing is common).
