SNS (Social Networking Service) refers to platforms where users connect and share information online: X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, LINE, Facebook, and TikTok. QR codes pair naturally with SNS, bridging offline to online for profile access, follower growth, and campaign participation.

The most common SNS-QR combination encodes an account's profile URL. Business cards, store posters, and event venues display QR codes for instant follow or friend requests. LINE has a native QR-based friend-add feature widely used in Japan. Instagram offers QR code (Nametag) profile sharing.

For marketing, QR codes direct users to SNS campaign pages where following and reposting complete an entry. Dynamic QR codes allow redirecting to a regular profile page after the campaign ends, preventing wasted printed codes. Scan count tracking enables quantitative evaluation of each flyer or poster's effectiveness.
