Form factor describes a product's physical shape and size. QR codes appear in remarkably diverse form factors: paper stickers, laser-engraved metal, UV-printed acrylic, embroidered fabric, edible ink on food, concrete stamps, beach projections, and drone formations.

Selection depends on use and environment: paper stickers for indoor short-term, weather-resistant labels for outdoor long-term, food-safe ink for packaging, screens for digital display. Screen-displayed QR codes require attention to brightness, reflection, and refresh rate interference with scanner shutter speeds.
