Consent

Consent is the process of obtaining explicit permission from users for data collection and processing. GDPR requires "freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous" consent.

QR code operations requiring consent: scan log collection (IP/location data in access logs), cookie setting on landing pages (GDPR consent banners), and personal information forms (purpose disclosure and consent checkboxes). Scanning a QR code does not constitute consent to data collection - scanning is information access, separate from data collection consent.

Consent UX design matters: concisely explain data types, purposes, and third-party sharing so users can make informed decisions.
