WPA
WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) encrypts wireless LAN communication. WPA2 (using AES encryption) is most widespread, with WPA3 migration underway. WPA3 adds SAE protocol for dictionary attack resistance and 'Enhanced Open' for encrypted public Wi-Fi without passwords.
Wi-Fi QR codes contain SSID, password, and encryption type (WPA/WPA2/WPA3). Scanning auto-configures the connection without manual password entry.
