Access Point
An access point (AP) is the device providing Wi-Fi network connectivity. Wi-Fi QR codes encode SSID, password, and encryption type, enabling one-scan automatic connection instead of manual password entry.
Hotels, cafes, coworking spaces, and event venues use Wi-Fi QR codes as standard guest connectivity. Security risk: public Wi-Fi QR codes may be swapped with Evil Twin access point credentials to intercept traffic. Use only trusted QR codes and VPN after connecting.
