URL QR Code

A URL QR code is the most common type of QR code, storing a website address. When scanned with a smartphone, the browser automatically opens and displays the page. It is widely used on flyers, posters, and product packaging to bridge print media and online content.

Longer URLs result in larger QR codes, so URL shortening services are often used in combination. Storing URLs that begin with https:// also signals to the scanner that the destination uses a secure connection.
