QR Code Tombstone

A QR code tombstone features a QR code embedded in a gravestone or memorial plate that, when scanned, displays photos, biographical information, and memorable stories of the deceased. It allows a rich digital tribute that cannot fit within the limited space of a physical gravestone.

Weather-resistant ceramic or stainless steel QR code plates are used, remaining scannable outdoors for extended periods. Known as "Memorial QR Codes" in Western countries, adoption is growing, and an increasing number of stone masons in Japan also offer this service.
