GS1 QR Code

GS1 QR Code stores product information following rules set by GS1, the international distribution standardization body. GTIN (product identification), lot numbers, expiration dates, and serial numbers are structured using standardized data identifiers called AIs (Application Identifiers).

While traditional GS1 barcodes (JAN codes) store only product codes, GS1 QR codes consolidate multiple data points in one code. They contribute to supply chain efficiency through food traceability, pharmaceutical anti-counterfeiting, and faster recall response.
