Version

Version is a number that indicates the size (number of modules) of a QR code. Version 1 is 21×21 modules and version 40 is 177×177 modules, with each version increment adding 4 modules in both width and height.

More data requires a larger version. QR code generators typically auto-select the smallest version that fits the input data.
