QR Code

A QR code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional barcode developed by Denso Wave in 1994. Unlike traditional one-dimensional barcodes that store data only horizontally, QR codes encode data in both horizontal and vertical directions, allowing them to hold tens to hundreds of times more information.

As the name "Quick Response" suggests, it was designed for fast scanning. Today, QR codes can be decoded instantly by pointing a smartphone camera at them, and they are used for a wide range of purposes including URL access, Wi-Fi connection, and electronic payments.
